2020 Conference Postponement
Dear Members & Friends,
Given the present global situation and taking into account the actions governments are currently taking to slow the spread of COVID-19, it is with regret that we must inform you of the postponement of our annual conference in June of this year. Whilst we very much hope that the global situation has improved significantly by June, we feel that in light of existing restrictions on travel and events, it has become increasingly difficult to plan for, or commit to, a June event in these uncertain times. This is not a decision we have taken lightly but one which we feel is necessary in order to protect the health and safety of our attendees, speakers and organisers.
We can confirm that we are postponing the event to 2021, with the conference now due to take place from 30th May – 1st June 2021. The event will still be taking place in Dubrovnik, Croatia at the same venue as originally planned for this year – the Hotel Dubrovnik Palace. Further announcements on our programme will be made in due course. You can register for the conference now using the registration option below.
For those members who are already registered for the 2020 annual conference, you will have the option to have a credit for 2021 or to receive a full refund – you do not need to make a decision at this time and are free to ask for a refund at any time during 2020. We will be contacting you in due course on this matter. In the meantime, if you wish to inform us of your preference please email us using the contact us option below.
Our goal continues to be the advancement of knowledge of mineral regulation worldwide, through the global participation of our members, in order to foster an informed understanding of those legal issues most pertinent to our industry. We do hope that we can welcome you to Dubrovnik, later than planned, but with renewed energy and enthusiasm to exchange ideas, debate and discuss the challenges faced by the global natural resources sector.
In the meantime, we send our best wishes and hope that you keep safe and healthy throughout this difficult time.
